Last spring, Sara, a 35-year-old gal in NYC, got a strong talking-to from her OB-Gyn about fertility, a lecture that involved VERY explicit descriptions of what is happening to Sara's remaining eggs. That made Sara and her boyfriend Will a little uneasy, but they also couldn't resist giggling at the feverish dramas of aging, unfertilized eggs as they wane. This spawned the idea for The Suicidal Egg Hotline, our weekly comic, which reveals the hotline operators and the eleventh-hour eggs who call for help.
